Baddiel & Skinner gave us their personal blessing to rework their classic football anthem for the 2019 Women’s World Cup. Our version carried a feminist message, subverting low expectations about the men’s game for sexist attitudes about women’s football in general. The campaign marked a watershed moment for the England women’s team, championing the players on a whole other level and bringing the nation together in support of new heroes.
